Thank you for this! It is so spot on. When my husband was alive, we had subscriptions to Signature and Second Stage theatres and went to as many other BIG ones as we could. I know I’m a B&T now, but as I was born and raised in New York, I am aware of theatre etiquette. When the whooping and clapping start, I desperately want to scream: this is not a rodeo people! That plus...when did we ALL have to stand before final bows?
You’ve reminded me that my Southern mother would always say, “What a mess”, through her laughter when enjoying a comedic actor or actress on tv, that she found particularly hilarious. Harvey Korman and Tim Conway come to mind. Made me smile. Thank you.

You fit so easily into a city that it's harder and harder to fit into.
Thank you Kevin I felt like I was with you in the audience and on the streets of New York. Your gift of language is wonderful.

Wow-Wee What a piece! Thank you! Please push for a FILMING, at least, of Oscar, as a play. But I’m sure it could easily be expanded into a film.
